A proper pub, done properly
Set on the edge of the Chess Valley, where the lanes wind between Rickmansworth and Harefield, The Rose & Crown is a 17th-century country pub returning to life. Carefully restored and gently modernised, it stands as a true neighbourhood local with a half-acre garden, a bright dining room with garden views, and a fireside welcome. We cook a fresh, seasonal menu, served alongside properly kept cask ale, and a thoughtfully chosen drinks list.

Half an acre to unwind in
OUR GARDEN
The garden is the heart of the Rose & Crown — around three times the size of the pub inside, with room to stretch out under the trees. Dogs are welcome throughout, there’s space for the whole family, and on a warm afternoon there’s nowhere better in Rickmansworth.
